What happens if I am running late for my lesson?
The start time of the lesson is the time that you need to be on the pool deck, wearing your swim costume and ready to get in the water.
It’s very important that you check the start time of your lesson carefully. This is because your time in the changing room needs to be synched with your lesson start time. It opens 15 mins before your lesson and closes at the start time of your lesson.
If you arrive at the Health Club Reception at or after the start time of your lesson you will have missed the changing room window synched with your lesson time and you will lose your lesson.
Unfortunately, it’s not just the pool that’s subject to social distancing requirements. The changing rooms are too. They are gorgeous but they’re not huge and are used by hotel guests, spa guests, health club members as well as our swimmers. The only way that social distancing can be managed is for a changing room time to be synched with a pool visit.
This is stricter than we or the hotel would wish for but its the only way demand for a small space can be managed.
How can I avoid running late?
Running late is mostly avoidable. To ensure you don’t miss a lesson we recommend you:
- diarise all your lessons
- check and double-check the day, location and start time of your lesson
- make sure you don’t mistake the end time for the start time (eg when looking on your phone)
- leave home or work in good time to allow for transport delays
- aim to arrive in the area 30mins before your lesson and have a tea at a cafe while you wait for your booking window to open 15mins before your lesson
I missed my time slot by just a few minutes can you make an exception in my case?
Unfortunately no. We are operating at high demand and limited capacity at the moment and it’s vital you make your lesson in time.
